What a big prick

This cactus lives at my mom's house. I don't know exactly how old he is but I do remember having him when I was 11. I'm 33 now. Anyway, he's gotten so big and unruly Mom doesn't know what to do with him. If you look closely you can see that he's literally taped to the wall to keep him from falling over!

If she's afraid it's become too much of a hazard (prick) to handle, maybe she can donate it to a local botanical garden or zoo. Usually those places have a "desert" garden for flora and fauna of arid lands.

Oh, I'd love that for our house. Matt's parents have a avocado tree (doesn't produce fruit though) that is like 30 years old that I covet. And a big cactus of Julie's that is fabulous.

Get rid of it! Put something prettier, soothing, soft, etc.. in it's place. Plants should enhance your house...
Give it away. I love family history and heritage.... but this plant???

Alyson (just my humble opinion, maybe I should have said this anonymously)
